Stozza beats Wazza BOS were well beaten in a good-natured game well refereed. Selection was marred by COW performance from Georgy. Chore revealed another late night performance that once again, debilitated my erstwhile friend to such a degree that I understand forward motion upon his limbs was too difficult a task at 04:00 on Sunday morning. The game – Aldo, back and strident with Lard back to a more focussed approach gave a strong platform on which the rest could play football. Langy & Chore worked tirelessly and Oatesy could strut his stuff from the start. Thomo and The rebel gave width and pace which left Stozza with bags of service. It was through The rebel & Smudger that an opening developed. Stozza sliding home from 15 yards with aplomb. The Welsh wizard, in sensible non-trendy jeans was equally effective , combining well with Thomo down the right. We didn’t convert however, and BOS, with the ever youthful Wazza pinging 35 yarder passes all over the place. HT BOS 0 Hibs 1 The second half was closer early on. Hibs chances were many but weren’t taken and BOS fought and kept fighting! Eventually by more good luck than good tactics Hibs got a breakaway and Oatesy got a deserved goal for his efforts. Changes were made and Hibs latest secret weapon was unveiled, LJ, a product of the youth policy making his Hibs debut. His alternative style coupled with his ability to spy on the Gaffers daughter is the key to his future.
