Dublin 2004 Itinery

Friday

Ryanair have given Pazza a headache with bringing the flights forward to mid morning, it means the full squad be in the office at 8am, the day before international duty!!!! So the wisely old fox had to come up with something to keep us out of the boozer on Friday afternoon, it will only delay the inevitable, but it will I'm sure mean a marginally less of a hangover for the big game!!

Anyway here we go again...

Meet the departure lounge (the office) 8am for the warm-up session and bacon butties.

Depart for Teesside International Airport 08.45 ish courtesy of Commercial Executive Travel (the blue beast has gone on to pastures new in doggy).

Check-in (don't forget your passport) then the customary two sharp yals at the airport.

Depart to the Fayre City 10.35, in-flight refreshments - original guinness, larrie or red wine

Arrive at Dublin 11:30, taxi straight to appropriate accommodation ...

This year it is most definitely Budget verses Plush, with everyone booked into the same gaff, but with two distinctly different entrance doors. For the Juveniles, entry will be via the right hand door which has a tasteful blue neon 'Budget Accommodation' sign above it, for the Geriatrics the left hand door leading to salubrious accommodation which can only be described as 'Plush'.

There is a down side to Plush £110 for the tree nites as apposed to 50 bifter for budget!!

Due to the room limitations, budget will have one Geriatric member (for want of a better word!!), volunteers required, but if non received it's down to the Scarecrow!!

Friday afternoon, welcomes 'Pazza's distraction' .... Geriatrics vs Juvenile Go-Karting. We're booked up for 14:30 at Kilemore Indoor Karting (www.kylemore-karting.com), Yer Man will join us at the karting adding to the Geriatrics' gyle. Points awarded.

After the Karting make our way back to the centre making a few watering stops along the way, the traditional 'first pint must be a Guinness' - rule 1, will be applied at the first boozer.

Commence the continuous search for the perfect pint, after several samples and a bit of clubbing (Rule 2 - chance for the Juveniles to get pulling points, the Geriatrics will have to rely on the swarve and sophisticated Stokesler Charver - nil points around!!!) .

Rule tree - avoid Temple area - cos it's full of tourist and dey have your eyes out with yal prices.

Consume the first Burger King/MacDonalds/Abra-Kebab-bra of the weekend (rule 4 - bonus points for Kebab with garlic sauce!!).

Saturday

Breakfast will be a common affair with everyone dining in the same breakfast area, which, no doubt will have many stories to tell of the previous nites antics!!! (minus points for no show at breakfast - Rule 5).

Purchase of the 'quality items'

1PM KO The Big Game :-

Ardmount Rovers vs Great Ayton Hibernians - The Rematch (Points available)

3PM A few yals in the clubhouse and a bit of crack with 'The Irish Rovers' and possibly a few drinking games (more points available). Sandwiches will be laid on by the delightful Alison and Marian and no doubt Tony will be given us some sound advice on where the live music is!! Hopefully catch up with Declan - bossman at Oscar Trainer Road.

6-7ish return back for S and S

A bowl of dog sick with two dollops of mash in O'Shea's (for the Geratrics)
